Early Detection Through Deception
by: Jason Nester
We will discuss how deception techniques can be used to trick an attacker into announcing their presence on an enterprise network.  How deception can be used to delay, confuse, and just plain irritate an adversary.  Using deception to keep bots and script kiddies on the Internet occupied while hiding your real assets. Come join a conversation about trolling attackers and making security through obscurity a valid defense mechanism.
Jason Nester has been working in the IT industry since 1998 with experience in manufacturing, government contracting, and retail.  He got the security bug while building classified networks for Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security contractors.  He is passionate about enterprise defense and finding creative methods to defend organizations.
